Basmati rice is renowned for its delightful aroma. When cooked, Basmati expands in length and produces a light, fluffy texture that is ideal to absorb the flavours of your cooking. A staple of Indian cooking, it tastes great with tandoori and is a classic combination with your favourite curry.

Basmati White Rice.
Usage Instructions
Absorption: 1. Rinse 1 cup of rice in cold water. 2. Place rice in a saucepan. 3. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold water and bring to the boil, stir gently. 4. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes or until moisture is absorbed. 5. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. 6. Fluff with a fork and serve. Gentle Boil: 1. Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan. 2. Add 8 cups of cold water and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. 3. Reduce heat and boil gently uncovered for 15 minutes. 4. Remove from heat, drain well and serve. 1 cup of uncooked rice = approximately 3 cups of cooked rice. For softer texture add 1 3/4 cups of water to 1 cup of rice for absorption and rice cooker methods.
Storage Instructions
Store in a cool dry place out of sunlight.
